Club Statement – Ground Share Agreement

September 30, 2026

Club News

We can today confirm that the club has successfully agreed a ground-sharing arrangement with National League South side Folkestone Invicta FC. As a result, all of our remaining home fixtures for the 2026/27 season will be played at The Alcaline Stadium, home of Folkestone Invicta FC.

We are also pleased to confirm that all current season ticket holders will continue to receive free entry to our home fixtures for the remainder of the season. Over the coming weeks, our fixture schedule will be updated to reflect the change of venue. Kick-off times will remain unchanged unless otherwise confirmed by the club or the league. We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Folkestone Invicta FC for their support and for accommodating the club for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

We spoke with first team manager Andy Crush on the announcement of the ground share with Folkestone Invicta:

“Finally some answers to the question you’ve all been asking! The Chairman Andy, the board and others have been working tirelessly to try and resolve the ongoing issues surrounding the pitch at Reachfields. Baring witness to the hours, emails and paperwork they have gone through to try and get the 3G pitch down.

That being said the unfortunate conclusion for this season is simply we have run out of time. Deadlines were set and have now passed. After sitting down with Andy and discussing the pros and cons of a ground share, we have decided we will be playing the 26/27 season at Alcaline Stadium Folkestone Invicta.

Please don’t think for a second we haven’t thought about the fans of Hythe Town as you guys are the heartbeat of this football club! Folkestone is the closest ground share to us and also a place that offers exactly what we need (3G pitch). I really hope to see all of you there supporting myself and the boys as we continue this fantastic journey and brilliant start to the season.

I really hope to see all of you there supporting myself and the boys as we continue this fantastic journey and brilliant start to the season. Reachfields will always be our home and we cannot wait to return there! Hopefully after a successful season we will return home next year ready to do it all over again! Let’s get behind the club and the team and support in our numbers!”

Regarding our u23s and youth teams, they will return to the Reachfields stadium and play the remaining scheduled home games there with away games played at the oppositions ground.

As a club we understand that the past few months off the pitch there has been a lack of communication between the club and fans regarding the installation of the 3G pitch. We would like to give a massive thank you to everyone involved with the club for the continuing patience that has been shown and we can confirm that we are still committed to completing the installation of the 3G pitch in due time.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Alcaline Stadium and continuing the season together.
